Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance1, or AD&D, is an insurance policy that protects you from the unforeseen financial hardship of an accident that causes any of the following:
- death
- dismemberment
- paralysis
- loss of sight, speech or hearing
The plan provides coverage for you and can provide coverage for your family members (depending on the type of coverage). Claims are paid according to the loss.
Arvest offers two coverage options for AD&D Insurance:
- Account holders only – Covers only the account holder(s). This coverage is provided with the myBlue® Checking account.
- Account holder and family – Covers the account holder(s), the account holder’s spouse and the account holder’s children up to age 19 (age 26 if enrolled full-time in an accredited higher learning institution). This coverage is provided with the Arvest Club Checking and Preferred Club Checking accounts.

1 AD&D coverage is provided through the company named in the certificate of insurance. Coverage divides equally on joint accounts and reduces by 50% at age 80. Please refer to the actual insurance documents for complete details of coverage and exclusions.
