Arvest Bank Braille Debit Card

Arvest services for the visually impaired

As a dedicated community-focused bank, we take great pride in the customer service standards we set for ourselves. We are often guided by more than the golden rule of treating others like we’d like to be treated, but by the platinum rule of treating others how they want to be treated. By doing so, we continue to put the customer first. This is particularly important for customers with specific accessibility needs and requests. January is National Braille Literacy Month, and there are many Arvest services that are dedicated to ensuring all customers, including those who are visually impaired, can enjoy the benefits of peace of mind by having access to services like:

  • Braille or large font checking/savings paper statements
  • Braille debit cards
  • ATMs with Live Teller, tactile buttons, and audio jacks

Vision loss affects over 7 million* people in the U.S., and nearly 1 in 4** people aged 65 or older are affected by some form of vision loss. The likelihood rises with age. As a full-service bank offering traditional products such as checking and savings to legacy-building products like mortgages and wealth management, we strive to be a trusted partner to our customers for the long term.

We don't just build processes and products to support customers who are visually impaired. We build relationships with this important community, too. ArBilities is one of our eight Associate Impact Groups focused on providing an internal community of associates who advocate for those who are differently abled through internal education sessions, fundraising events, and attending community events. At the 2025 National Federation of the Blind (NFB) State Arkansas Convention in Bentonville, Ark, we had the opportunity to talk about the Arvest services offered and met many of the organization’s members. Nena Chadwick, Arkansas NFB President, took the time to share with us the importance of these accessibility services.

Events like the NFB convention, internal groups such as ArBilities, and incredible people like Nena inspire us to continue our commitment to building inclusive services, products, and processes that empower all customers to build their dreams and manage their finances with dignity and confidence. Providing these services is important to Arvest because we care about the long-term needs of our customers, as well as their ability to lead thriving, independent lives.
