Maria is active in the Van Buren Chamber of Commerce. She is a Paul Harris Fellow with Rotary International and a 2023 graduate from Leadership Crawford County. Maria values servant leadership and collaboration and serves on two local boards.

Maria is married with three grown children and one beloved grandson. She lives on a farm and enjoys camping, hiking, cooking and spending time with family.
