Frequently asked questions
Glossary
- One-time passcode (OTP): A secure, randomly generated code sent to you by choice of SMS text or email to help you securely access your account.
- Biometrics: Mobile phones offer the use of a fingerprint or face recognition to access your phone and certain apps.
- Security Profile info: For access to our online and mobile banking, you'll need a US-based mobile phone number and email connected to your account so we can reach you and provide the OTP required for logging in.
- Personal Profile info: This is your personal contact info, such as mailing address, phone number or email address that Arvest may use to contact you regarding your banking needs or questions.
- Third-party apps: Websites or apps that, with your permission, pull your Arvest banking data for the purpose of transactions or dashboards. Examples of these applications include Monarch Money, Venmo and YNAB (You Need a Budget).
Disclaimer: Monarch Money, YNAB (You Need a Budget) and Venmo are trademarks of their respective owners, Monarch Money, Inc., YNAB and PayPal, Inc. Use of these names does not imply any official endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship between Arvest Bank and the trademark holders. - Third-party OTP alerts: As you reconnect your third-party apps with your Arvest online banking, you may receive a one-time passcode (OTP) even though you didn’t request it. As your third-party apps adjust, these OTPs should become less frequent.
Logging in
Will I be able to continue to use the same login ID I use today? Even if I changed it from the original Arvest-provided login ID when I first became a customer?
Yes, the customer-set login ID will continue to be used on the new platform. Remember that our mortgage and online banking platforms share a login ID.
What should I do if I forgot my login ID or password?
You can reset your Login ID/Password by:
- Clicking Forgot Login ID or password? on the sign-in screen.
- Select I need my Login ID or I forgot my password.
- Follow the following instructions:
- Verify your identity using your SSN/ITIN and Date of Birth, and enter the one-time passcode (OTP) code as requested.
- If you forgot your Login ID, you’ll be shown the Login ID associated with the SSN/ITIN submitted.
- If you forgot your password, you can enter a new password and then log in with it.
If this is your first time logging in, and you don’t have a password, you’ll receive an email with a link to complete that first-time set-up.
What should I do if I can’t get the one-time passcode because the mobile phone and email listed are outdated?
For your first time login attempt only (this option will disappear after your first login), you can select Verify a different way and follow the instructions.
Do I need to download a new mobile app?
Nope! If your current app isn’t set to automatically update, you’ll need to update your current Arvest Go® app. Search for Arvest Mobile Banking in your device’s app store to download the update. Once your app is updated, you’ll continue using the same app, with a new look and feel, under a different name.
If you have biometrics set up, you'll need to re-enable them. Be sure to have your Login ID and password ready.
Do I need to re-enroll, or will my current username and password still work?
Your username and password will remain the same; no need to re-enroll.
Can I still use my Face ID/Fingerprint to log in?
The first time you log in to the updated mobile app, you won’t be able to use biometrics such as Face ID/Fingerprint. You'll need to log in with your Login ID, password and one-time passcode (OTP) and then enable biometrics after you've logged in.
Can I still use a 4-digit passcode or PIN to log into the app?
No, 4-digit passcodes or PINs won't be available as a login method on the updated platform.
Security Profile info
My mobile phone number/email has changed. How do I update where my one-time passcode (OTP) is sent?
You can update your mobile phone number or email address through the mobile app or the website. After logging in, click the avatar image in the top-right corner, then click My Profile and select the Security tab. Once there, click Update authentication methods. You'll be able to update the email or phone number you'd like to use to receive the OTP.
I'd like to use a different email address for one-time passcodes (OTP), but I'd still like to receive other emails from Arvest to my original email. Is that an option?
Yes! In your profile, there are two tabs: Personal and Security. Changes made in the Personal tab, such as an email or phone number change, will affect how Arvest contacts you. Changes made in the Security tab will only affect how you receive the one-time passcode when logging in.
What if I don't have a cell phone to receive a one-time passcode?
To access the new platform, you'll need to provide a valid email address and cell phone number. This is a requirement for our new security system, as we'll use those to send you the OTP to verify your identity.
Security enhancements & one-time passcodes
Why do I need a one-time passcode (OTP) to log in now?
An OTP adds an extra layer of security to help ensure that you (our customer) are logging in and not someone attempting to access your account.
Is a one-time passcode required every time I log in?
Yes, it's required unless you use biometrics (Face ID, Fingerprint, etc.).
I haven't received my one-time passcode (OTP). What should I do?
If you selected email, please check that your email address is typo-free and that the code wasn't sent to your SPAM folder. If you selected SMS text, please make sure your Security profile contains a valid mobile number. If you've tried this and are still having issues, please call us at (866) 952-9523.
How long is the one-time passcode (OTP) valid?
Your OTP will expire after 10 minutes. If you fail to enter the OTP within the 10-minute timeframe, you can request another one. If you request a new code before the 10 minutes is up, the old OTP will immediately expire and no longer be useful.
Why was my one-time passcode rejected?
The code entered has a typo, or the code has expired. Please try requesting a new code, and if you still have issues, please call (866) 952-9523.
What should I do if I receive a one-time passcode that I didn't request?
First, verify that the OTP is from Arvest by double-checking that the sender number is 34-729. Next, make sure that it’s not third-party apps trying to access your account by checking to see if you have any alerts or notifications from third-party apps that you use (ex: Venmo, Monarch Money, YNAB- You need a Budget).
If the OTP is from Arvest and but you or a third-party app haven’t requested it, please contact us at (866) 952-9523.
Is the new site safe?
The new Arvest online banking system is built on the latest security standards. Your account now has a double layer of protection with one-time passcode (OTP) functionality.
What is the phone number for one-time passcode (OTP) texts?
You'll receive a text from 34729 with your OTP.
Are there limits on passcode resend attempts?
Yes, exceeding the limit will cause a timed lockout of your account. Please wait and try again later.
If I suspect fraud on my account, what should I do?
If you believe you may be the victim of a fraud attempt, please contact us immediately at (866) 952-9523 or visit this page for more info.
Will I still be able to send and receive Secure Messages about my account?
Yes, the new online banking platform still has access to Secure Messaging capabilities.
BillPay & transfers
What's the difference between the Payments and Transfers sections?
The Payments section is where you can complete transactions related to BillPay. The Transfers section is where you can complete transfers between accounts, Arvest to Arvest transfers, Zelle® and TransferNow transactions.
Remember that payments to your Arvest loans, mortgages and credit cards can be made in the Transfers section, and payments towards loans, mortgages and credit cards held with other financial institutions need to be made in the Payments section.
Will my scheduled BillPay and/or recurring transfers and payments move over to the new online banking?
Yes, all BillPay, scheduled and recurring payments with BillPay info and payees will move over to the new system.
Will I need to re-enter my recurring Zelle/TransferNow transactions?
No, Zelle® and TransferNow transactions will carry over to the new system.
Will the new online banking platform offer any changes to how loan payments can be made? Such as principal or interest-only payments?
No, the new online banking platform will offer the same payment options as the old system. Please visit your nearest branch if you need to make special payments towards your loans.
Are the limits for mobile check deposit changing?
Limits will stay the same.
Account info & transactions
Where do I find my account number?
After you log in, select the account from your dashboard to go to the Account detail page. You’ll see the last four digits of the account number right above your available balance. Click the 👁️🗨️ eye icon next to these last four digits to view your full account number.
In the mobile app, select your account and click the Account Information button to see the last four digits of your account number and the 👁️🗨️ eye icon.
Will my transaction history move over?
Yes, your transaction history of up to 24 months will move over to the new system. Click the Accounts tab to view a list of your accounts. Select the Account you'd like to view transactions for, and remember you can use the Filter & Sort option to find specific transactions.
If you're looking for transactions older than 24 months, please visit your nearest branch.
Will my account nicknames (ex: Vacation Fund) stay the same?
Yes, your account nicknames will migrate over to the new system.
Will my alerts (low balance, large withdrawal, etc.) migrate over?
The new online banking platform will offer more granular alert controls than the old online banking platform. While we will be migrating existing mandatory alerts, we recommend that customers explore the new alert capabilities and confirm that the alerts they desire are turned on and have the appropriate destination. To set up an alert in your web browser after logging in, click the avatar image in the top right corner, then click on Alert Settings. From here, you can toggle preset alerts on or off. To create a custom alert, select Create a custom alert on the right.
If you wish to set up alerts in the mobile app, first log in, then click the More button in the bottom right corner and select Alerts. You can then click the gear icon in the top right corner to access your alert settings.
Will the app support other languages?
Currently, only English is supported on the web and mobile platforms.
Will prior closed accounts still show? Such as a recently paid-off loan?
Yes, we're required to provide account data for two years after account closure. You can hide the account you no longer wish to see in the app or in online banking.
How do I hide or unhide a financial account?
After logging in, click the avatar image in the top right corner, click on My Preferences under the Account Preferences tab, find the account you wish to hide and use the blue checkmark toggle to hide or unhide an account. You'll have two options:
- Include in Planning, which hides and unhides an account from your budget-tracking tools.
- Include in Digital Banking, which hides and unhides an account from your Account Dashboard and Transfer screens.
How do I search for transactions from a specific merchant (ex: Walmart)?
From your Account Dashboard, click the account the transaction is under, then locate the search box and type the keyword (such as the merchant name or check number).
Linked third-party apps
How do I reconnect external, third-party apps to my Arvest account?
Our recent banking platform update means some of your favorite third-party apps, like Venmo, may need to be reconnected before they can pull your financial data or process transactions. If an app stops working, simply open that specific app and follow its instructions to re-link your Arvest account.
How do I fix a third-party app that says my Arvest account "does not exist" or is a "duplicate?"
Our recent system update includes enhanced security measures that block older connections to keep your data safe. If a third-party app shows one of these errors, it means their platform hasn't been updated to our new network paths yet. You can either give it some time and try linking your account again in 24-48 hours or contact your third-party app's customer service for additional guidance.
