How Arvest Protects You from Fraud

How Arvest Protects You from Fraud

Arvest's advanced security technology and comprehensive services defend your accounts against fraud and identity theft. Here are a few ways we protect your personal and account information.

$0 Liability on Unauthorized Transactions on Qualifying Cards*

When unauthorized transactions on your Arvest Visa debit and credit cards are reported promptly, you won't be held responsible for those purchases.

Fraud Detection Alerts & Identity Theft Coverage

To protect your time and money, we have fraud alert features to help keep your cards safe from fraud. IDProtect® protects you and your family from identity theft.

If we detect suspicious activity on your personal debit or credit card, we'll send you a text alert.

If you become a victim of identity theft, experts will provide professional fraud resolution services, helping you document the damage and file the necessary paperwork. IDProtect® is included in our Plus Checking, Select Checking and Private Banking accounts.

Note: We will never ask for your personal info by text message or an unsecured email.

Online & Mobile Security

Arvest is dedicated to keeping your account information secure and ensuring your access to your account is consistently available.

Data Protection

Arvest online banking keeps your information safe by never storing private details on your computer or phone.

Our website uses advanced security technology to scramble your data so that only you and the bank can read it. You can tell your connection is secure when you see a lock icon in your browser.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Arvest online banking not only offers but requires multi-factor authentication, using your Login ID, password and a secure one-time passcode (OTP) sent to you by email or text.

User ID and Password

The same username and password are used to sign on to Arvest online and mobile banking.

Additional Authentication

  • Security questions and OTPs: When you call Arvest to request a high-risk transaction, Arvest will send you a one-time passcode to verify your identity.
  • Date/time stamp: Each time you log in to online banking, you'll be shown the date and time of your last login.
  • Session timeouts: Arvest online and mobile banking sessions time out after several minutes of inactivity to protect your accounts.
  • Automated notifications: You'll receive automated confirmation emails when your user ID or password is changed.
  • Fraud protection: If Arvest determines that your online credentials have been compromised, your online and mobile access will be automatically blocked. You'll be contacted by an Arvest associate to take the next steps to protect your account.
  • Account information storage: The Arvest mobile banking app doesn't store personal account information on mobile devices, so your accounts are not exposed if your devices are lost or stolen. Arvest undergoes periodic security testing to ensure our apps are secure.

  • Biometrics sign-on: Arvest mobile banking makes logging in easy with fingerprint and facial recognition. Remember, any person with biometrics stored on your device can use it to access accounts.
